BIESSE ROVER C 9.40

CNC-machining centre of the upper class, which offered a variety of configurations, types and equipment options, first introduced by Biesse in 2004. The ROVER C is the largest cantilever machine produced by Biesse.

Equipment versions

Biesse distinguishes between the following basic configurations, which each can be expanded by various options.

Basic configuration 1 Drilling unit with 13 drilling spindles vertical, 4 drilling spindles horizontal X, 4 drilling spindles horizontal Y and groove saw. This version has two positions for mounting milling spindles - one of which has a C-axis and a ride-along tool changer.
Basic configuration 2 Here, Biesse offers different equipment versions: Either 3 free spaces for router heads, a small drilling unit with 5 vertical drills and 2 drills each for horizontal X and Y as well as 2 free spaces for router heads - one with optional C-axis or a large drilling unit with 29 drilling spindles vertical, 8 drilling spindles horizontal X, 4 drilling spindles horizontal Y as well as a groove saw, one free space for a router head with optional C-axis and ride-along tool changer.
Basic configuration 3 (Partly offered as separate model series under the name Rover C 5-axis). This configuration is equipped with a 5-axis router head in all versions and has either a small drilling aggregate with 5 drilling spindles vertical, and two drilling spindles each for horizontal X and Y as well as the possibility of a second router head with C-axis and ride-along tool changer. The second configuration option has a large drilling unit with 29 drilling spindles vertical, 8 spindles horizontal X and 4 spindles horizontal Y as well as a groove saw fixed in X. In this version further additional drilling units are possible.

The above 3 configurations can be equipped with a variety of additional aggregates and versions, like for example ride-along tool changers, additional horizontal milling aggregates, stationary tool changers, Biesse Multistore (additional tool changers for particularly large tools), automatic data reading systems in tools and other things.
