The term "Nesting cell" is not standardised and thus occur in various connections.

It's generally understood to be a plant which consists of a CNC-machining centres especially equipped for the Nesting process as well as components which facilitate automatisation.

Usually it's a discharging belt for the nested-up parts and a lifting table for the automatic feed. These cells are usually equipped with automatic labelling.

Nesting cells can also be equipped with robots, which apply the raw panels automatically and as well take away each single nested-up part and stacks them according to the designated criteria.
