Save Corner is a feature of the segmental pressure pad on wide belt sanders by Italian manufacturer Viet. With this feature the sensitive workpieces on the lacquer sanding should be protected even more effective from the sand through.

Part of the standard functions of the segmental pressure pad is mitigating the sanding pressure in the field of the workpiece´s longitudinal edge as well as the time-controlled insertion and withdrawal of the sanding pad whilst reaching the workpiece´s transverse edge. Corner connects the pieces of information "workpiece longitudinal edge" and "workpiece transverse edge" to the information "workpieces" and assigns them the respective segments. When the workpieces runs through the sanding unit, these "corner sections" engage late on as segments which lie only in the area of the workpiece´s transverse edge and lift up a bit sooner, when workpiece end is getting closer to the sanding unit.
