Segmental pressure pad

CPS: (C)ompact-(P)ressure-(S)ystem

Self-contained, maintenance-free system for the transfer of the sanding pressure onto the workpiece by pressure elements (segments).

It was introduced in 1993. Predecessor was the electronically controlled segmented pressure bar: an electronic sanding pad with mechanical tracing of the workpiece by tracing rollers, electronic control and about 30/32 mm wide individual pressure elements in the sanding pad.

Technical Features

  • Tolerance compensation of up to 2 mm within the workpiece or from workpiece to workpiece
  • 50 mm (optional 25 mm) wide segments
  • Free, multi-lane loading
  • Good sanding results even with highly irregular contours, cut-outs as well as in the edge areas
  • Maintenance-free system because of the dust-proof aluminum extruded section
