Trimming saw

The rotation chop cutting unit has been initially introduced by manufacturer IMA in 2014.

With most chop cutting units the sawing motors run on linear leads parallel to the workpiece during the chop cutting process. The movement of the chop cutting saws, however, take place on an eccentric, circular path. These constructions is essentially more space-saving. Additionally the palpation of the workpiece takes place nearly contractless according to the manufacturer. Thus workpieces with sensitive surfaces can be processed with more care.

application data

  • feed rate: maximal 30 m/min
  • edge cross section: maximal 600 mm²; which complies to an edge thickness of 12 mm on a workpiece thickness of almost 50mm.
  • setting up the chop waste via the machine control
  • changing the kind of processing between the flush cap and the bevel cap via the machine control
