BIESSE NEXT STEP X1

The Biesse Next Step X1 is a machine for sizing panels which has been introduced the first time in 2015 on the Ligna trade fair in Hannover.

The basis of the machine is a fix gantry, on which two independently-proceeding milling spindles are situated. The division takes place by milling out the optimized cutting patterns per software as with Nesting.

On basis of both separately-moveable milling spindles and the exclusively-developed machinery concept, the same processing speeds as with panel sizing can be achieved through sawing with the NEXT STEP x1. The capacities are significantly higher for less specialized Nesting machines.

  • advantages in contrary to a panel saw: totally free cutting patterns can be milled, with which a lot size 1 production is possible.
  • disadvantage: only one panel can be processed, whilst panel saws can cut entire panel packages. Thus the capacity is conspicuously lower despite of the same processing speed.

Feature:

The raw panel will be put on the machine frame. There it will be clamped by a programmable stop similar to a beamsaw. A lateral, separately positioning gripper takes care of any additional clamping of the panel in the cutting zone.

By the combination of the movement of the milling spindles (y-axis and of the programmable stop (X-axis;30639}, any desired contour can be milled.

Via an automatic waste flap remnants will be disposed, the finished workpieces are being transported farther through conveyor belts.
