Series of wide belt sanders produced in different versions from about 1985 until about 1995 by the manufacturer Bütfering.

Sanding width: 1.100mm or 1.350 mm

Machine designation

• AWS 2 or 3: machines with 2 or 3 units
• UWS: sanding from the bottom (forms double-sided sanding line together with the model AWS).
• K: contact roller/sanding roller
• C: (C)ombi aggregate (see technical term combination unit) with rubberized contact roller
• E: Unit with electronically controlled segmental pressure pad
• A: fixed table height, e.g. machines in sanding lines

• AWS-Combi: one-unit-machine with combination unit
• AWS2: machine with two combination units
• AWS2K: 2-unit machine, a contact roller and an air cushion pad
