Modularly established drilling unit which are being deployed by BIESSE in CNC-machining centres.

The term is deceiving, as contrary to other "BH" drilling units by Biesse, BH 20 may contain visibly more drills than only 20.

This comes about by the drill heads being particularly for the Nesting processing where often only vertical drilling spindles are being used. To be sufficiently flexible for a further application range not to have to develop a new drilling head, extensions for the horizontal drill processing and a groove saw have been planned.

The BH 20 drill head contains following spindles as basic equipment:

• 11 vertikale drilling spindles arranged on a 32-mm grid in x-direction
• 9 vertikale drilling spindles arranged on a 32-mm-grid in Y-direction.

Additionally the drill head can be equipped with:

• Up to 6 horizontalen drilling spindles in X
• Up to 4 horizontalen drilling spindles in Y
• Up to 2 groove saws

Not all equipment possibilities can be installed simultaneously, the groove saw e.g. substitutes the third double drilling spindle on x on the spot.
