At this planetary sanding unit by manufacturer Hans Weber the sanding units are arranged transversally over the entire sanding width in a row. Every sanding unit consists of a rotating disc, which carries six rotating disc-brushes as well. The circular path of the brushes caused by that disc, overlaps with its rotation thus achieving an even sanding pattern independently from fibre flow and workpiece form.

Complying to the type of brush, this unit can be used for structuring or else the lacquer sanding can be executed, especially with the processing of the high gloss surface.

Since the beginning of 2016, the company Weber have only offered the planetary sanding unit DR P2 which is equipped with 2 brushes a disc.
