The modular interface is a tool interface of units for CNC-machining centres.

The interface has been developed in collaboration with the Format 4 and will be offered under the brand ET-interface.

Operating mode:

• The interface consists of a flat cylinder with a tool holder as well as a respective aperture on the unit.
• To clamp a tool into the unit, the cylinder is simply being put into the aperture with the tool.
• In position the cylinder will then be manually affixed sidewards with 4 Allen screws.

The ET-interface is available with different flange mountings for saw blades, as well as collet chuck holders for ER 25.

Because of the construction the ET-interface saves up space. It's not an automatic tool holder though as e.g. possible with the Flex 5 Plus interface of the Homag group.
