HOMAG MOULDTEQ M-300

MOULDTEQ M-300 is the successor model of HOMAG LPP 300.

The machine base forms a cast iron stand. Each tool spindle is driven by its own frequency controlled motor. The operation is performed via the powerTouch2 operating unit.

In the basic equipment, all tool spindles (except the planing spindle) are positioned axially and radially CNC controlled by motor via the machine control. The rotation speed and rotation direction of the tool spindles can be selected via the ProfileCenter operating interface.

Setting up the machine

The tool change is simplified by the ProLock spindle clamping. A large part of the adjustment work is carried out by the machine itself. However, some adjustment work must be carried out manually, e.g. adjusting the pressure pads. The values are displayed in the ProfileCenter and on the adjustment cranks. The widely tiltable operating unit and the cable-connected handheld terminal enable the settings made to be monitored in the immediate vicinity of the spindle.

Types

While the machine housing bears the lettering MOULDTEQ M-300, the nameplate shows the conventional designation LPP 305 to 308, depending on the number of tool spindles.

MOULDTEQ M-200

Based on the MOULDTEQ M-300, but without the powerTouch2 control unit and with manual spindle adjustment, the MOULDTEQ M-200 has been built since 2021. Like the M-300, it has a cast iron machine frame and direct-drive tool spindles. The machine functions are called up via press button switches.

Development and production history

The idea of a HOMAG automatic moulder was born in 2016 at HOMAG machine dealer Stiles in the USA. This was taken up by the HOMAG management. Stiles, HOMAG Machinery USA and HOMAG Germany collaborated on the construction and software of the HOMAG LPP 300. The Taiwanese machine manufacturer LEADERMAC was won over for production. The first LPP 300s were already sold in the USA and France in 2017.
