Parquet

Parquet is the name for floors made from single solid wood strips, which are glued on the screed. Strip thickness of 8 to 23 mm thickness allow the multiple renovating sanding. This makes parquet a very durable floor.

Types of parquet

Different types of parquet can be created according to cutting levels, location of the strips and production procedure. Thick parquet strips are often equipped with grooves and springs, the thin parquet types always come without grooves and springs in order to facilitate sanding in the post-process. The parquet stripes and panels respectively are usually glued together on the full surface on the screed. Eventually the sanding takes place with the parquet sanding machine and the final surface procedure.

Grained timber lying annual rings; with the laid parquet you see the annual rings form above. This makes the floor seem quite "vivid". Because of the vertical wood en structure this type of parquet is extremely resilient and is therefore applied in rooms for catering, business and production.
High-edge lamella parquet standing annual rings; the smal surface of the lamella goes upwards which makes the floor gain strenght and stability. When applying the parquet one looks at the top of the cut annual rings. This excerpt and the wood strips cut in on the front side give the wood a vivid appearance. This type of parquet is also called "industry parquet" due to its stability and like the grained timber parquet used in rooms for catering, business and production.
Wide lamella parquet The cutting direction complies with the highedge lamella parquet, the visible surface is wider though.
Strip parquet With the already-applied parquet one looks at the wood grain. This creates a calm, less-contrasted appearance than the lamellla parquet. The strip parquet is available in 22 mm thickness as well as panels glued to a net in 8 mm thickness.
Mosaique parquet for producing especially slender patters panels are to be glued on nets during the production process in small, 8 to 10 mm thick strips.
