The Timber Repair & Cosmetics, short TRC, is a series of Wintersteiger in order to fill in defects in the top layers of wooden products, e.g. engineered wood flooring or solid parquet planks.

The TRC works semi or fully automatic in a line. The wood product is scanned through a camera which sends the information to a software called "Faulty Spot Eye". This software measures the exact position as well as the size of the defect. Based on the measurement it calculates the required amount of filler which is made of thermoplastics. The right amount of filler is then injected through a injection unit in the defects.

By the end of the production line the working piece can be continued to be processed directly afterwards.

Product history

The TRC technology was developed by the machine manufacturer VAP Gruber. Since 2012, production, sales and service of the TRC standard machines have been handled by WINTERSTEIGER. Planning, production and service of TRC customized machines are still carried out by VAP Gruber Automations GmbH.
