Rough cut

Rough sawn is the basic term for a raw (unsliced) wood surface (for example with saw grid traces after the wood incision in the sawmill). This structure left as visible surface gains more in importance in rusty doors and furniture construction in the last years (stand 2018).

In order to imitate such effect on veneers (from 0,8mm) and on already smooth, sliced surfaces, the application of wide belt sanders supports this trend.
