PCS® (Preventive Contact System)

is a safety system for sliding table saws of the FELDER group, which has been developed in cooperation with the technical university of Vienna.

• introduced on the Ligna 2019 for the first time.

• The system has a security-surroundig-sensor with early detection of approach and is to prevent accidents in the area of the saw blade.

• If an unexpected, quick approach is registered in the field of the saw blade which may point to an accident, the PCS triggers a lowering of the sawblade underneath the circular saw table.

• This takes place by means of an electro-magnetic goalkick principle and is free of damage for all units and saw blades.

• After triggering, the machine is ready for use at the push of the button.

• The system works without tear components and thus is completely free of adjustment and maintenance.

• PCS doesn't rely on any energy sources such as air pressure and works completly independent from functions.
