Effect sanding

Software upgrades for the creation of individual vintage and saw-roughness effects using the segmental pressure pad of the cross and longitudinal sanding aggregate are offered by several manufacturers to varying extend. With special band saw and cutter block aggregates strong effects can also be achieved. Some examples are the manufacturers HEESEMANN and HOMAG.

Structuring

Brushing units, which are equipped with brushes made of Anderlon or braid, catch hold of the soft early wood zones more strongly and create the impression of wood washed out in water. Not every brushing unit is suitable for accommodating a structuring brush in terms of drive power and stability. Quick-change units facilitate reequipment when changing the type of wood. Strong effects can also be achieved with special band saw and cutter shaft units. These aggregates are offered by the manufacturers SCM and COSTA LEVIGATRICI, for example.
