Biesse's CNC controlled Chip deflector is an own solution for chip deflection, which is different from those of other manufacturers.

The Chip deflector is an own changeable unit with a position in the Tool changer. However, it is not based on the HSK-F63 interface, but is changed to a separate holding system on the outside of the slewing ring of the C-axis.

Advantages:

• Machines with exchangeable Chip deflectors are more flexible than those with permanently installed Chip deflectors. Some processing, such as milling pockets in panel material, are made more difficult or even prevented by this device.
• The Chip deflector can be exchanged via the tool changer, thus no separate holding device is necessary as with other systems with separate Chip deflectors.
• The HSK-F63 interface of the Router head remains free. Thus, unlike other systems based on aggregates, different tools can be used with only one Chip deflector.
