The nesting machines SCM morbidelli X200 and X400 were first presented in 2019 as machines designed exclusively for nesting machining.

They were intended to complement the range above the models SCM morbidelli N100 and N200.

Thus the gap to SCM Accord NST, which is considerable in terms of price and performance, could be closed.

The X200 and X400 models also introduced innovations such as X-Pod suction cups and X-Vacuum.

The machines were equipped as standard with the FAST tool changer, RO.AX drilling units and the SCM JQX spindle.

Both models were prepared for use as nesting cell and could be equipped with an automatic labelling.

By equipping them with roller pressure in combination with automatic loading of two panels, the machines were suitable for double-part processing.

The models X200 and X400 differed only in a few details: The X200 was designed as a pure nesting machine for vertical drilling and milling and it is only as a 3- and 4-axis machine available. Correspondingly, the max. workpiece thickness was also lower than that of the X400, which was specially designed for 5-axis machining and therefore had a greater opening height. In all other areas, the two models were identical.
