The U26, successor of the Morbidelli U15 which came from an earlier construction phase and was different from the machines of the U construction series, was introduced as latest machine of the construction series U in 1989.

At that time the user couldn't see clearly which one it was, because there were few machines that had a U15 machine body and a U26 aggregates support, both machine parts being named as such.

• horizontal drilling unit with 2 borers in X and 1 borer in Y
• sanding aggregate
• surface scanning aggregate

In 1993, the production of the U26 ceased and the complete construction series U was replaced by the construction series Author.
