2015

The Grecon Dimter wood optimization South GmbH & Co. KG in Illertissen is renamed Weinig Dimter GmbH & Co. KG.

2008

Development of the world's fastest panel gluing press ProfiPress C "Speed" as throughfeed-unit with a production speed of up to 160 lamellas per minute.

2007

Development of the world's largest panel gluing press ProfiPress C 16200 with maximum opening width of 16,2m (according to the manufacturer); field of application: production of wall elements made of solid wood

Until about 2001

Machines that were produced in this period are marked with the indication "GreCon dimter wood optimization - A member of the Weinig Group.". From now on, the companies only use their own names in combination with the Weinig logo.

1999

Product division within the Weinig Group:

  • GreCon produces finger-jointing lines while
  • optimizing cross-cut units and presses are manufactured by Dimter only
  • Series titles partially remain unchanged (for example, Dimter Profijoint Ultra becomes GreCon Ultra)
1998

Weinig takes over 60% of Fagus-GreCon Greten (manufacturer of, for example, optimization cross cut saws and finger-jointing lines) and becomes a joint venture with Dimter/ Illertissen and the subsidiaries GreCon Dimter Inc., USA and GreCon Dimter France.

1993

Acquisition of the Dimter GmbH (Ltd.) by Weinig.
