History of Elsterer WD GmbH&Co.

1994 Esterer AG Altötting Wurster and Dietz GmbH & Co. Tübingen starts with the first cooperation talks. The structural changes in the sawmill industry and the resulted concentration process are leading, beside the rapid globalization of markets, to new challenges for manufacturers of sawmill systems.

1997 Esterer WD GmbH & Co. becomes a sole operating company. The Esterer AG and Wurster Dietz GmbH & Co. each hold a 50% pure holding of the new company.
1999 The restructuring of Esterer WD GmbH & Co. is complete. The site Tübingen is finally moved to the company headquarters in Rottenburg am Neckar. The export share of sawmill systems crosses the threshold of 70%. The increase in sales on new markets is now much larger than the structural decline on the central European traditional markets.

2006 'ArcoLine-technology', the active curve sawing system, is successfully installed at Insjön Bergkvist, Sweden, and CMPC - mulching, Chile.
