FELDER KG
Manufacturer of standard and special machines for woodworking industry. The company is based in the Austrian Hall in Tirol. The products by FELDER KG are distributed worldwide under the name FELDER, FORMAT 4 (Premium-Segment) and HAMMER (entry-level model), and since 2019 sold worldwide under MAYER.
History
2023 | The Italian manufacturer of grinding machines EMC is integrated into the FELDER group of companies. |
2021 | The Felder Group has taken over the consulting, sales and services for SAOMAD CNC machining centres for window and door production in Austria, Germany and South Tyrol. In addition to Format 4, the Saomad CNC models JUST 3500 and MIRAI 4500 complete the Felder Group product range. |
2019 | The Felder Group sells over 150 models of the Hammer, Felder, Format-4 and Mayer brands in over 200 sales outlets in 72 countries. |
2018 | Felder currently has:
- 650 employees at the Hall site in Tyrol
- 250 sales and service points in 84 countries
- 70 patents

- On 31.03. the new branch office in Velten near Berlin with an area of 2000m² is opened.
- 96% of the sales is generated by export.

2015 | In January 2015 the 30.000th machine, a sliding table saw FORMAT 4 KAPPA 550, is sold to a Bavarian customer. |

- The company represents itself on the world market in a new exhibition and technology centre in Hall with the brands Felder, FORMAT-4 and Hammer as Felder group.
- Opening of the new branch in Lohmar in Cologne and Siegburg covering a surface of 2800m², from which 1000m² are available for the exhibition.

1994 | The K6 sliding table saw marked the breakthrough on the world market for professional stand-alone machines. Felder advanced from a combined machine specialists to a full-range supplier of standard wood working machines for private and commercial sector. |
1990 | Presentation of the first combined machine with format sliding table. This helps Felder to expand its market leadership in combined machinery sector. At the same time the first professional stand-alone machines are introduced for the commercial sector. |
1984 | The machine series BF 3 and BF 4 are best seller. Felder expands and invests in its factory in Hall in Tirol. |
1981 | Moved to Hall in Tirol, the company's present location. Despite the good growth there was no further expansion in Absam possible anymore. |
1963 | The first series of machines BU 4 runs at full speed. With the series BU 5, BU 6, BU 7 and BU 8, Johann Felder succeeds in developing his machines and expand production and sales steadily. |
1961 | The company changes its location within Absam. |
1956 | Johann Felder presents woodworking machines at exhibitions and fairs in Vienna and Innsbruck. With the pioneering spirit of the post-war period, the production expanded steadily. |
1955 | Johann Felder founded the present company. The workshop was in his parents' house in Absam / Tirol. |
