Production plant for OSB panels

In an OSB production plant OSB board are produced in series. This is made up of miscellaneous, interlinked sub-processes, which is very similar to chipboard production. At the centre is a hot press (stack or through-feed), which is used as the basis for all upstream and downstream processes. The board properties are decisively influenced at the hot press and are marked accordingly at a later stage.

OSB boards came to Europe from North America in the 1980s and are currently the latest innovation in the field of laminated panels.
