HOMAG FF 12

Corner rounding unit

Name for a contour milling aggregate on edgebanders by Homag for the processing of protruding edges. It can also be used for the milling of the front and rear edges (corner rounding unit). The aggregate can be used for the processing of both straight edges and softforming- as well as postforming workpieces.

The aggregate FF12 has got 4 motors, in contrast to the aggregates Homag FK 11 and FK13. Each motor processes one of four edges, thus permitting down-cut milling. Consequently the processing of veneer edges and solid wood edges can be accomplished.

The motors are exchanged using quick-change devices for the adjustment to different edge thicknesses and profiles.

Optionally, there is also the possibility to use a multi-revolver stop. Here, a router head with different profiles has to be used. The position of the stop-revolver has to be manually set by the operator. The milling aggregate, which is clocked to the respective position by a pneumatic cylinder, can then be chosen via control.
