CNC-machining centre of the Homag group, which was especially designed for the needs of middle class businesses.

In 2005, HOMAG presented the models Venture 20 and Venture 22, which should follow the tradition of affordable CNC machining centers with exchangeable edgebanding aggregate (e.g. BAZ 41). Therefore, the popular name Venture, which was already known from some WEEKE models, was used.

The Venture models are characterized by

• predefined configurations with only a few options, but with high-quality equipment for a relatively low price.

Equipment

The models Venture 20 and 22 are identical except for the length of the Y-axis. In the basic configuration, the Venture 20 has an aggregates support with a 11 kW working spindle and an aggregate interface for pneumatic and electronics, a drilling unit with 17 vertical drilling spindles, 4 horizontal drilling spindles as well as a groove saw traversable by 90 degrees. The working spindle and the drilling unit have separate Z-axes for a larger passage height and collision-free processing with the optional Flex5 aggregate.

Another standard was a chip conveyor, a C-axis as well as a pod and rail table (K-table) with LED display for the positioning of the vacuum cups. Also, a 12-fold tool changer was part of the basic equipment.
