HOMAG WOODWOP 6.0

Woodwop 6.0 was introduced in 2009 as the successor to HOMAG WOODWOP 5.0.

As with the predecessor, there was a transitional phase in which both versions were used. The last machines with Woodwop 5.0 were still delivered in 2011.

No new control system was developed for Woodwop 6, but the PC hardware requirements were higher. Especially for older machines with Woodwop 5, an upgrade to Woodwop 6.0 was only possible with a change of hardware.

Features

  • Can also be used in the 5-axis range (in the course of the introduction of Homag Flex5)
  • Improvements compared to version 5.0 were achieved in terms of 3D display, user guidance and programmability.

woodWOP 6.0 went into the 3rd dimension with the machines. Thanks to the new, realistic 3D representation of the workpiece with all machining operations, the programmer could immediately see on his screen if incorrect values were entered. Several workpiece views, which he could open simultaneously, no longer left anything undetected. The suction cups and consoles were also displayed three-dimensionally from this version onwards. Another essential change was that one could now interactively select, delete or move machining operations in the graphic. It was also possible to draw contours directly in the graphic. WoodWOP 6.0 is the fourth generation leap in the development history, which after OS9, DOS and Windows compatibility was now based on a 3D CAD program library and set the course for all further developments.
