Austrian manufacturer of veneer presses, carcase clamps and veneer saws for the woodworking craft. The product range also includes laboratory presses, forming and punching presses, press technology for the processing of composite materials and plastics, pressing and sawing technologies for the wood industry, high-frequency presses, blanket bar presses and user-specific special machines.

The company HÖFER Presstechnik GmbH has approximately 60 employees and offices in 30 countries.

1998

Completion of the last production facility.

1997

Both Höfer companies, Herwig Höfer GmbH & Co.KG and Ing. Gerhardt Höfer & Co. publish a joint Höfer general catalogue documenting the products and competences of both companies.

1985

Starting the export to foreign countries.

1967

Gerhardt Höfer is the first in Austria, who uses hydraulic components in its veneer presses.

1960

Construction of a new business area.

1955

Establishment of two companies called Höfer by the brothers Gerhardt Höfer and Herwig, both arised from the company Langzauner. Both companies share the product range of Langzauner and are producing self-directed with the name Höfer. Herwig Hofer produces in the Höfer Maschinen GmbH grinding and gluing machines, special machines for ski manufacture, CNC-machining centers and some metal working machines, while Gerhardt Höfer produces presses and saws manufactures in the HÖFER Presstechnik GmbH
