Johannsen produced approx. 22,000 grinding machines up to the insolvency in 2000. The supply of spare parts for the Johannsen grinding machines produced from 1990 onwards is ensured by company KBM.
History
2000 | The construction of sanding machines is abandoned due to bankruptcy, but is resumed by the company KBM. Johannsen takes over the future service device for these machines. |
ca. 1990 | Johannsen cooperates with the Italian grinding technology manufacturer CB; sales in Germany and service. |
1985 | Construction of edge grinding machines. |
1980 | Sanding machines for metalworking account for 20 % of production. |
1959 | First stroke sander. These became a successful product. |

1940s | After the war, the Johannsen Oberflächentechnik GmbH as engineering company was founded. |
