IMA BIMA 210

IMA CNC-machining centre in the entry level category, which was produced from 1998 to 2007, the details of which were revised during this time.

During 1998 IMA modified its model palette. This resulted in a switch from cantilevers with 2 arms to a single-arm system. Within the framework of this modification process, IMA expanded its lower level model palette, in order to cater more heavily for the demand for economical CNC-machining centres.

With the BIMA 210 model, IMA introduced one such machine to the market, which was exclusively available without edgebanding aggregate.

Equipment

  • Machine table (pod and rail table) with a length of 3,000/4,000/5,000 mm (X) and a width of 1,000 mm (Y).
  • Router head with 5 kW
  • Groove saw pneumatically tilting
  • 14 boring spindles, vertical
  • 6 boring spindles, horizontal

Options

  • 2nd router head
  • Working spindle with HSK-F63 tool interface, combined with a 6- fold pickup tool changer, which was mounted at the front of the machine table and could be driven in X. This changer was taken over from the BIMA 310 model
  • An LED positioning aid was optionally available for the vacuum cups

In 2000 the BIMA 210 range was revised:

  • The working spindle was now available in the basic equipment form with HSK-F63 interface and was equipped with a travelling 8-fold disc tool changer.

In 2007 production of the BIMA 210 was discontinued. The successor was the BIMA 200 model.
