IMA BIMA 310Short descriptionCNC-machining centre, which was introduced by IMA in 1998 as successor of the BIMA QUADROFORM, offered on the market in several modified versions and replaced by the model BIMA 300 in 2007. In 1998the previous model QUADROFORM was brought to the market with a slightly enlarged working range under the name BIMA 310. Optics and equipment were nearly identical. The machine had an aggregates support with 7.5 kW working spindle and C-axis as well as a drilling unit with 12 vertical drilling spindles. Even the ride-along pickup tool changer in X, which was mounted on the front, was adopted without any changes. The working range was enlarged to 3.000 (X) x 1.000 mm (Y). In 2001the model series 310 was revised, and technology and optics have been significantly changed:

In 2002there was another complete revision of the model series 310, which was now sold under the name BIMA 310 Expert and was, for the first time, also available with an edgebanding aggregate. Therefore, the model BIMA 310 Expert existed in 2 basic configurations:
