IMA BIMA 810

Short description

CNC-machining centre designed as cantilever machine, which IMA introduced in the mid-1990s.

At launch, the model BIMA 810 offered a variety of options and versions and could be configured relatively freely to customer specifications.

Equipment

Options for further equipment of the aggregates support

  • Various drill heads
  • Another working spindle
  • The cantilever could be equipped on both sides; thus, either another aggregates support or a separate gluing unit (BIMA 810V) could be attached.

For the first time, IMA provided the option of an automatically setting-up machine table with the name NC-working table. Later, it was revised and made available for other machines under the name Dynapoint machine table.

Revision of the model series

  • In 1999, the model series was revised and the Y-axis was only still offered with 1.600 mm in adaptation to the changes in the model series BIMA 410 and BIMA 610.
  • Furthermore, a 5-axis router head was now available.

The model series BIMA 610 and BIMA 810 were replaced by the completely new developed model BIMA 500 in about 2009.
