CNC-machining centre from IMA for the cutting of plates and the complete processing of furniture elements.

Around 2000, many manufacturers offered machines for the nesting technology. Mostly, these were machines, which completely divided a large-format plate and vertically processed it on a matrix table via a milling aggregate, with the help of a protection board.

IMA went their own ways. With the model BIMA CUT, a CNC machining center was presented, which also divides large-format plates, but is able to completely process each single part.

Working procedure

• In-feed of a large-format plate
• Cutting out of a single part, which remains on the machine table.
• Large-format plate is moved to a rest position onto a flotation table.
• Complete processing of the cut-out part
• Removal of the part, e.g. on a driven roller feeder or a conveyor belt, using vacuum cups
• Re-feeding of the large-format plate and cutting out of the next part etc.

• Machine table (automatically setting up pod and rail table Dynapoint) with 3.500 or 4.200 mm working range in X and 1.220 mm or 1.400 mm working range in Y
• Working spindle with 10 / 16 / 18 kW with C-axis
• 8- or 18-fold tool changer
• Drilling unit with 14 or 21 vertical spindles
