IMA BIMA P 480

CNC-machining centre (Portal machine), which IMA first introduced in 2001.

The model BIMA P480 was offered with various equipment options and was configurable in accordance to customer needs.

Equipment

There were two machine tables, pod and rail tables, with a size of :

2.100 x 1.400 mm
2.100 x 1.800 mm

There were two model versions with different configuration options:

BIMA P480

1 aggregates support, which was configurable, with up to 3 working stations for the simultaneous processing of up to 3 workpieces. Each of these working stations could be equipped with 1 working spindle, with an 8-fold tool changer as well as 1 drilling aggregate with 14 or 21 vertical drilling spindles as well as 2 free spaces for mounting additional router heads, a groove saw or horizontal drills.

2 separate X-axes, one each on opposite sides of the portal. On the front, there was the edgebanding aggregate, which could be optionally equipped with a separate trimming saw - for the precise cutting of edges without a separate aggregate for tool changer - as well as with a 2- or 6-fold coil magazine. ausgestattet werden konnte.
