Adjustment gauge

Adjustment gauges serve the quick and precise adjustment of planers and profile scrapers in the planer head or cutter block.

Adjustment gauge for strip planer knife

The Adjustment gauges serve the arrangement of strip knives on the planing shaft. During the change of the knives they are adjusted by the adjustment gauge, so that the cutting circle is equal for every knife. This is necessary to avoid a large imbalance of the cutterblock and to gain an even surface quality.

Adjustment gauge for Constant tools

Adjustment gauges for constant tools adjust planers or profile scrapers to the once established minimal cutting circle.

Self-adjusting knife systems

Furthermore there are systems, where the knives on the planer shaft self-adjust and fix themselves via centrifugal force, for example Tersa-, CentroFix- or Vairplan-knives. There is no adjustment gauge necessary.
