Used for the clear identification of formatted stripes and panels for the following processing stages or for the stacking/recognition in a panel storage system.

The information can be printed as a bar code, as data of measurements or as graphic.

Labelling is usually available as an option for beamsaws or CNC machining centers and will usually include a label printer and the related software.

Labelling equipment contains a label printer as well as the respective software. When labelling fully automatically, the machine is often equipped with a completely-automatised labelling unit.

Differences in the application of the labels:

Conventional, manual method:

The label printer is positioned in the area of the control panel and prints out the labels immediately after the cutting to size. The machine operator has a label at hand and sticks it on the workpiece.

Automatic method:

• HOLZMA raw panel labelling system - solution upstream the panel saw, consisting of area storage system and pre-stacking table with raw panel labelling HFE 200
• HOLZMA Domino-System: This consists of a fully automatic labelling-device which is mounted on the pressure beam. It automatically sticks labels on single pieces, on books of panels and of remaining pieces, even if the machine is equiped with the Power Concept system, which can cut to size two stripes simultaneously.
• Schelling: According the the cutting plan the sheet of panel will be fully labeled in the feeding area, while the previous sheet is cut to size. The position of the label on the part can be selected. If the cutting plan shows pieces that are 90° rotated, then the application of the labels will also be 90° rotated. The handling of two different parts, which simultaneously come out of the saw, is possible and the cut to size process does not need to be interrupted.
