Former German manufacturer of woodworking machinery. Was taken over together with OKOMA by the Belgian company HACO.

History

ca. 1995

Cooperation with the French manufacturer CHAMBON.

1993

The Belgian company Haco purchases HEMAG and OKOMA and their trade marks as well as their patents.

1993

Bankruptcy of the proprietor of Hirsch.

1988

The sales firm Hirsch, a former seller of OKOMA - and HEMAG- machines, takes over the companies and continues HEMAG production. He builds a hydraulic angle plant named HEMAG "System OKOMA". Production is stopped about 1991, because the machine was too expensive and costly.

Bankruptcy.

The founder Fritz Manasek dies, the sons manage the company.

1975

The super surfacer FINAMAT is launched. There are employed 50-100 employees.

about 1970

The UMFÄLZROTOR is further developed to AUTOMAT.

about 1968

The models SCHLITZROTOR and UMFÄLZROTOR are built.

1963

The first FRÄSROTOR, which became be a successful model, is constructed. In Kirchheim near Heidelberg there's a small production facility for series production.

1962

Establishment in Eppelheim near Heidelberg by Fritz Manasek.
