The pressure zone 1816 on edgebanders from HOLZ-HER consist of 3 pressure rollers from which the first roller is driven. The pressure-build up happens pneumatically, triggered by the PLC machine control. The pressing surface of the pressure rollers is slightly conical to gain a preferably continuously closed glue joint.
