HOLZ-HER CA 80

Fully automatic beamsaw with program fence and grippers

  • Produced up to the late 1990s
  • Was superseded by production series CUT

Working procedure of CA 80

  • Frontal infeed of workpieces into the beamsaw
  • Call a programme
  • The pusher grabs the workpiece by use of its grippers and pulls it in up to the first cutting measure; the sawing process is started The machine executes the cutting list independently, the operator´s only task is it to extract the remaining pieces.
  • Cross cutting happens analogous to longitudinal cutting.

Standard equipment

  • Side alignment device
  • Off-cut adjustment: The program fence pushes the workpiece over the cutting edge for performing the last cut. If the clamps are projecting into the area of the pressure beam, the clamping cylinders between program fence and pressure beam fix the workpiece. The pusher moves out of the pressure beam area, the pressure beam sinks and the clamping systems are lifted again. The workpieces is clamped for the sawing process.

All machines of this production series

  • MR 80 - manual machines; the panel material is aligned to two stops in front of the cutting line
  • AR 80 - machine with programmable pusher, without grippers
  • CA 80 - fully automatic cut-to-size-saw with programmable clamp pusher
