Manufacturer of linear copy shapers, saw/drilling combined machines, tenoning machines and machining centers for chairs, tables, etc. based in Italian Seveso.

History

2015

In July 2015 CMS is bought by the SCM Group. Since then SCM continues the according machines under their series names "balestrini".

May 31st, 2011

CMS Industries and the SCM Group buy the company Balestrini, which thus becomes part of CMS Industries. The production site of Balestrini persists and Antonio Balestrini continues as director of the company.

2009

Fusion of Balestrini and MZ Project to Sphera System SRL.

1990

Realization of the first 5-Axis-N/C machining center.

1960

Machines are exported to Spain, France, Belgium, Venezuela and Argentina (about 50% of sales).

1959

World's first round tenoning machine (2TAO) for producing any direction-oriented tenons.

1956

Patent on the first vertical tenoning machine for processing curved chair parts without the use of counter forms.

1954

Founded by Renzo Balestrini as a workshop for manufacture and repair of special woodworking machines.
