The WoodTech Alliance have been founded in 2009 by the three machine manufacturers GIBEN, MASTERWOOD and VIET as sale's project.

The goal of the three independent companies was to be able to offer a complete product palette of woodworking machines which spans a wide array from standard machines over automatic handicraft machines to industrial plants.

In 2010 the WoodTech Alliance resolved. GIBEN have become partners with ANDERSON and in 2011 VIET has been taken over by the BIESSE Group. From all three companies only MASTERWOOD are independent.
