SCM ACCORD 20

SCM CNC-machining centre, designed as moving gantry - for universal use.

In 2006, SCM - following the general trend - introduced a new series of gantry machines, under the name Accord. Initially, it only was a relatively lightly built entry-level machine with matrix table on the same basis like the Morbidelli Universal, which was especially designed for nesting processes.

In 2007, it was decided to introduce a heavier built machine for which a variety of options and various equipment versions were available - for the universal use of nesting to window and door construction. Initially, both series just had the name Accord. To better distinguish them, a separation into Accord 20 and Accord 40 was introduced in 2009.

At launch under the name Accord, the machine was offered in two table sizes:

  • 3.650 mm (X) x 1.560 mm (Y)
  • 4.250 mm (X) x 2.280 mm (Y)

Equipment

Options

  • Drilling aggregate with 7 vertical spindles
  • Drilling aggregate with 12 vertical spindles
  • Drilling aggregate with 6 horizontal spindles
  • Groove saw fixed in X
  • 8-fold disc tool changer (SCM Rapid 8)
  • C-axis

In 2009, the program was extended by two more table lengths:

  • 6.050 mm
  • 7.250 mm

as well as another optional 16-fold disc tool changer (Rapid 16).
