Short description
In the late 1990s, HOLZ-HER introduced various CNC-machining centres on the market. The model UNI-MASTER was the model of the upper middle class.
Equipment
Initially, there were two different models:
UNI-MASTER 7226 | with pod and rail table, table size 3.036 x 1.558 mm |
UNI-MASTER 7217 | with smooth table, table size 2.600 x 1.450 mm |
Other table lengths were also possible. Furthermore, there was a milling aggregate with 5.6 kW, standard equipped with a support for horizontal aggregates for holding angular aggregates, a drilling unit with 11 vertical drilling spindles and 2 double drilling spindles for horizontal drilling in X and Y as well as a standard large saw blade with 200 mm, which was also suitable for formatting.
At launch, the machine was still equipped with a slightly modified Siemens control with WoodStep software, which was already known from the models MEGA-CONTROL and MULTIMASTER. Only a short time later, however, the Sinumerik 810D control was used, which was equipped with a computer and used the software TwinCAM 32. In cooperation with the company Atemag a range of aggregates for tool changers has been developed.
Special equipment
- Horizontal milling aggregate
- The tilting device, known from the MULTIMASTER, fell away
- 2nd vertical milling aggregate
- Additional horizontal double drilling spindle
- Working spindle with more power
- C-axis
- 2 different tool changers: 6-fold disc tool changer, 12-fold disc tool changer
- For the pod and rail table, a digital display as help for the positioning of vacuum cups was optionally available
About 2003, the model series has been slightly revised:
- For the first time, a machine with equipment suitable for nesting was introduced. It had a matrix table as well as a vacuum pump with increased performance.
- For the first time, the newly developed META table was available.
- One could select from 9 drilling units with up to 29 vertical drills as well as 6 horizontal drills in X.
- The tool changers have also been revised. Now available were a 6-fold disc tool changer, 12-fold disc tool changer, 18-fold disc tool changer or a 14-fold pickup tool changer, whereas pickup- and disc tool changer could be combined with each other.
- The range of available aggregates was extended.
- The TwinCAM software was revised. In connection to up to 8 possible angles, 8 working fields could now be worked on.
- For the machine table, a cross laser or a contour laser was optionally available as help for the positioning of the vacuum cups.
- The standard router head now had a power of 5.6 instead of 4.4 kW; optionally available were moulding aggregates with 6 or 9 kW.
- The number of available table sizes (in X) was extended to 5:
UNI-MASTER 300 | 3.035 mm |
UNI-MASTER 385 | 3.885 mm |
UNI-MASTER 470 | 4.735 mm |
UNI-MASTER 555 | 5.585 mm |
UNI-MASTER 640 | 6.435 mm |
- In Y, only one table size was available, since here, the otherwise identical model ECO-MASTER was used.
At the end of 2003, the design was changed from turquoise to orange. In 2005, the model series ECO-MASTER and UNI-MASTER were discontinued and replaced by the newly developed model PRO-MASTER.
