Flawless, undamaged sanding pads including felt backing and graphite coating are essential for an optimal sanding result.

Even the smallest damage barely perceptible or visible to the eye to this sensitive system, has a serious impact on the sanding result.

Photo 1 shows a narrow damage (pressure point) on the sanding shoe as a result of a point, where the sanding belt did not act on the workpiece (test workpiece still shows the pencil control marks at these points).

Possible reason: This sanding shoe was previously used to sand narrow mouldings with too much pressure. This caused pressure marks in the sanding shoe.
