Beamsaw grippers function as stop and fasten the plate-type workpieces throughout the processing.
Variants (selection)
- Giben, Model Onix SPT - the lower fingers of the clamps are swivellable. This makes it possible to push panels off a stack by use of the program fence and without any additional equipment. Afterwards the lower finger swings out and the grippers seize the whole panel stack.
- Holzma model HPP380 - double finger grippers, that are used for plain material and very slim workpieces.
- Workpieces with overlapping coating (e.g. laminate, veneer): To avoid damages to workpieces with overlapping coating a so called comb stop or cutting stop (HOLZMA) is used.
- CNC-controlled grippers are for example used in Giben's PM-System. The grippers programmatically move in up to two different axes (X- and Y-axis).
- X-axis-movement parallel to the program fence
- Y-axis-movement parallel to the mitre stop
- Schelling scissor clamps - can be lifted, thus making it possible to run over the panel stacks lying on the supporting table and to feed new workpieces while the previous workpiece/stack is still in process. A similar technical principle is applied by Selco's "lifting grippers".
- Dynamic infeed (HOLZ-HER)
- Mayer clamps: double finger model for slim workpieces, or the long type that makes it possible to push workpieces up to 300mm beyond the cutting line.
Grippers are used as clamping and holding devices also in other machines, see:
