Since 2006 the Italian machine manufacturer Casadei is a member of the SCM Group. Since then 'AXO' is the name of a series of beamsaws built and sold bei Casadei but produced by SCM/ GabbianiMacchine. The production series of AXO was the successor of the models MX and SX from the house of Casadei in around 2007. First produced were the models AXO 65 and AXO 85. AXO 65 has a saw blade projection of 65 mm, AXO 85´s saw blade projection is 20 mm larger and because of better equipment options the machine is more versatile. Common feature of both models is a cutting length of 3200 mm, 3800 mm or 4500 mm. Standard equipment to these machines is a timing belt driven saw carriage; optional - for higher speeds - the saw carriage was continuously variable driven by toothed rack or pinion. Among others groove cutting function, cut-out function, cutting height control (see saw blade projection), scoring blade appropriate for postforming and electronic adjustment of the scoring unit were only available for AXO 85. Both technical types were succeeded in the late 2000s by:
AXO 400 and AXO 500 HD are equippable with a back lifting table (recognisable by the letter "T" in the model´s name). AXO 500 T HD is able to feed and process plates up to the size of 4500 x 2440 mm automatically. | CASADEI AXO
