Unit at coil magazines at edgebanders.

Description

After banding, the glued edge band is separated from the coil in the coil magazine by a cutting knife. In most cases this unit leaves a small overhang, because at Edgebanders with a continuous process is a trimming saw for cutting that overhang. In some small machines and with increasing technological development at through feed edgebanders, the cutting knife unit is able to do a flush cut.

Generally, two different sizes:

• Roll caps to 1 mm
• Roll caps to 3 mm

It is not primarily the Edge thickness determining, but rather the Edge cross section. Edge cross section = edge height x edge thickness
