The designations BASIC, DUO and MAXI are used to supplement the type designations of SCM PRISMA spindles.

This is the marking for the equipment of the aggregates support and therefore not actually the spindle.

Spindles with the marking DUO are either equipped in combination with a tool changer that co-moving directly on the spindle or with an additional aggregate, e.g. a drilling head.

Only the type SCM PRISMA K is available in all three versions, otherwise usually only Basic/Duo or Duo/Maxi or even only one type is available.
