Polishing removes the last imperfections from the painted surface. Here too, the decisive criterion is the "calmness of the surface". Linear polishing processes are therefore ruled out. They would create stripes on the surface.

Manually processing of high-quality applications and small parts with hand polishing machines is therefore not uncommon, but is out of the question for small and series production of furniture for reasons of efficiency.

A tried and tested technical method

Wet grinding

In wet sanding, the last traces of processing are removed with the wide belt sander removed. This can be done in three passes, starting with a grain size of P2000 and ending with P3000.

Polishing

In one through-feed, the workpiece surface is brought to its final high gloss with polishing paste and polishing pads.
