High gloss 6 | HotCoating

Coating with polyurethane is a process that seems similar to painting. This process was developed by the company Klebchemie M. G. Becker GmbH & Co. KG, better known by the brand name "Kleiberit", under the name HotCoating. A layer of molten polyurethane is applied first. This gives the surface the necessary "depth". Depending on the gloss and colour requirements, one or two coats of UV-curing acrylic lacquer are then applied. If two coats of lacquer are applied, sanding is carried out between the two lacquer application stations.

Important advantages

  • The HotCoating systems are considerably shorter than comparable lacquering systems, as one or two denibbing sanding units are not required.
  • The PU coating is flexible and can be processed easily (sawing, milling, drilling), there is no stress whitening.
