CNC-machining centre in the design of a cantilever machine, with many configuration options, which IMA introduced on the market in 2007.

In 2007, a change in model policy and an associated revision of all previously existing series occurred. The model BIMA 400 was introduced as the successor of the model BIMA 410, and offered in 3 model versions:

BIMA 400 (Basic model)

• Machine table (pod and rail table) with optional LED positioning aid
• Working range X 3.000 - 6.000 mm
• Working range Y 1.400 mm (other sizes meeting customer requirements are possible).
• Working spindle with 7.5 kW, with an interface for using a Vario NC aggregate and an 8-fold tool changer

A variety of additional options are available, such as:

• Up to 2 additional router heads
• Drilling unit with 14 or 21 vertical spindles as well as an additional free space, which could be either equipped with another router head, up to 6 horizontal drills, a tiltable star-shaped drill head with groove saw or a swivelable groove saw
• 18-fold tool changer (optionally possible with higher capacities, according to customer specifications)

BIMA 400V

• Machine with 2nd Y-axis, which can hold an edgebanding aggregate. Available are the gluing units VT 45, VT 100, VT 105.

BIMA 400R

• The working spindle is available as 5-axes spindle with 9 or 16 kW.

BIMA 400V/L

• Since 2011, a version with laser edging technology for the coating of edge material is offered.
